It is now possible to store even more relevant business information at the Customer level directly within Chargify by leveraging our new custom field functionality.
The same custom field logic that was previously only available at the Subscription record level is now also available at the Customer level. As is true for other custom field locations, there is no limit to the number of custom fields you can create; custom field naming is customizable by you; and custom fields can be represented as text, drop downs or radio buttons.
The addition of custom fields at the Customer level, lets you store even more of the important information you use to run your business. Keeping this information directly within Chargify cuts down on your teams need to store it somewhere else and ensures your team has all the information they need, right at their fingertips.
Chargify has expanded our CSV import functionality to make initial onboarding and on-going maintenance easier for our merchants. These updates will allow you to:
Ensuring your communications to your end customer are easy to understand, attractive and on brand is as important as the message that they deliver. Because of this, Chargify has made it easier to stay on brand with every communication by updating all billing portal email templates to be fully branded. With this enhancement, you can now easily reflect your brand standards in the communications sent out from the Chargify billing portal.
Also, the Chargify billing portal has been updated to allow end customers to add and update their VAT number directly. This enhancement gives your customers the power to manage their own VAT information - eliminating the need for your customer support teams to handle it for them! Simply drive your customers to the Chargify billing portal and allow them to update their VAT tax information themselves.
Customer success, support and general Chargify users now have better insights into their customers subscription health.
Users now have the ability to see Subscription expansion and contraction MRR activity directly within the Subscription Insights tab. This information, which was previously only available by drilling into the MRR report, is now available at the individual Subscription level. With this information, users can now predict subscription churn for customers who have repeated contraction activities or identify possible upsell opportunities for subscriptions who experience repeated expansion activities.
Supporting how your company tracks usage revenues in relevance to your MRR is also taken into consideration with this enhancement. Usage based revenues are automatically included in the MRR activity for those companies who include variable revenue as part of their MRR reporting. For companies who wish to exclude variable (usage based) revenues from these insights, users simply click the ‘Exclude Usage’ button at the top right of the screen.
You can now customize how mid-period component allocations are used for MRR reporting.
